MATTOLE VALLEY

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

HIGH SCHOOL

A $3,000 scholarship, based on academic achievement and community involvement, is available to qualified applicants who meet the following criteria:

·       Attended a Mattole Unified School District school or Charter School

·       Have an academic G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher and enrolled to carry a minimum of 12 college units per semester/quarter

·       At least one parent or legal guardian resides in the Mattole School District

·       Graduated from high school in current year

·       Complete application form

Include official transcript, letters of reference from two teachers who are familiar with your work and classroom attitude and letters of character reference from two people who know you.  Letters from family members do not qualify.

Application and requested information must be postmarked on or before May 1, 2010.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Students who have successfully completed at least one year of college are eligible for this scholarship providing they meet the following criteria:

·       Have an academic G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher in preceding semester and carry a minimum of 12 units

·       Attended a Mattole Unified School District school or Charter School

·       Complete application form and essay
